I hope this is the right topic for this. I'm having kind of an annoying thing happen where my Nokia N75 takes a long time to start ringing on my end when I receive a call. At first I thought maybe it was the answer tone I had that was causing this somehow, but I turned it off for awhile and it didn't help. The phone will ring about 3 times before it starts on my end, and since my voicemail usually picks up after 4 or 5 rings and I see no way of changing that, its sometimes tough to get to the phone in time to answer it. When the phone is just on vibrate it starts vibrating right away when someone calls, so I was thinking it might just be that I had too many ringtones on the phone and it was causing it to be slower, but I took all the ones that didn't come with it off temporarily and that didn't help, so I'm not really sure what could be causing it. Its been like this for awhile and I've tried all that i can think of to fix it, but if someone's had a similar problem and has a possible solution I'd really appreciate it.
hmm talk to your carrier to see if its anything on their end. You could try updating the phone software as well to see if that fixes the bug. And if that dosent work you may Also want to try a hard reset of the phone back to the way it came from the factory but back up all your data thats on their as you will loose it when you do a reset. See if that works....
Or, if you're using Talks, that can cause problems with other sound effects, realtime, music Etc, on the Symbian 3rd Generation phones unless you have Talks mute on keypad lock so the phone should ring as normal.
